These terms cover your use of OurCareBook. Organisations on a paid plan or pilot may also have a written agreement with us; where the two differ, the written agreement wins.
What OurCareBook is — and is not
OurCareBook is a coordination tool. It helps care teams and families keep one record of medications, appointments, documents and tasks. It is not a medical device and it does not give medical advice. Information read from documents is offered for a person to confirm, and that person remains responsible for checking it against the source and for every care decision.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
- Only invite people who should see a client's information, and give each the role they need.
- You are responsible for having the right to put a client's information into the product.
Your data
What you put in stays yours. You can export it at any time. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy notice.
Acceptable use
Don't use OurCareBook to break the law, to access records you have no right to, to probe or disrupt the service, or to upload anything you do not have permission to share.
Plans and payment
Prices are shown on our pricing page. Monthly plans renew monthly and annual plans yearly until cancelled; cancelling stops the next renewal. Pilot fees are credited toward a first year if you continue, as agreed at the start of the pilot.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and your data backed up, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Do not rely on OurCareBook as the only copy of information you are required to keep, and never as a substitute for emergency services.
Ending the service
You can stop at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Either way you can export your data first, and we will delete it afterwards as set out in the privacy notice.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, OurCareBook is provided as it is, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
